SETTS - EN 1342 (4.1.2.1. Table 2)

Natural stone setts differentiate themselves from concrete stones and brick material because of their characteristic irregular shape.  However, this feature is as well their main disadvantage.  According to the European standard EN 1342, even setts of the highest quality (Class 2) can have deviations on the nominal thickness up to ± 15 mm.  For this reason, paving of natural stone setts is not an easy job at all.  It’s time-consuming and expensive and, when aiming for a quality pavement, it has to be performed by the scarce group of skilled craftsmen.

Ecostone® provides the intrinsically irregular stones with some regular characteristics: a fixed height and a manipulated width that is fundamentally the same for each and every stone.  However ecostone® keeps on retaining the featured irregular shape of the natural stone setts.  Paving has now become a piece of cake for every ‘handy Harry’.
